William Kang, will present the “AI AND NEGOTIATIONS | Can we use artificial intelligence tools to help draft contract language, develop options and lead us to better settlements. What AI related issues will we see in contract negotiations?” at the Management Advocates for School Labor Affairs (“MASLA”) 47th Annual Summer Conference on July 15, 2025 in Saratoga Springs. The MASLA conference runs from July 13, 2025 to July 16, 2025 and registration is required.
MASLA is the only association in New York that is dedicated to advocating management’s position on public sector labor relations issues, including teacher negotiations, arbitration, grievances and contract negotiations.
William Kang provides General Counsel and/or Labor Counsel services to numerous public school districts in Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Columbia Counties. He regularly handles school litigation matters in state court, appeals to the Commissioner of Education, employee disciplinary proceedings pursuant to the Education Law and Civil Service Law, and discrimination and/or retaliation claims before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and State Division of Human Rights. Mr. Kang also represents school districts and other municipalities with regard to labor relations, from negotiation of labor contracts for all types of bargaining units to arbitrations and improper practice proceedings. He has lectured on issues related to education and labor and employment law for in-service training workshops for public school district clients, as well as organizations such as MASLA and the NYS Association of Business Officials.
