As Keane & Beane, P.C. celebrates its 45th Anniversary, so does our Office Manager, Barbara S. Durkin. After graduating from Berkeley Secretarial School in 1980,Barbara joined Keane & Beane, then a newly formed firm, as a legal secretary. In 1985, she was promoted to Office Manager and throughout the years has ably assisted and supervised the Firm as it expanded to four locations, 32 attorneys and a support staff of 9, not to mention its consistent staff of summer interns and law students. Most notably, Barbara has led the White Plains firm through 4 moves, facilitated the opening of 3 new locations, including our newest location in Long Island, and in 2020 she led Keane & Beane through the storm of the COVID-19 pandemic, transitioning the entire Firm into a remote workforce virtually overnight.
Barbara has been the President of the Westchester County Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators for the past 20 years.
Barbara, a lifelong Orange County resident, states that “90 miles a day, approximately 20,000 trips over the Tappan Zee Bridge and a few new cars have been well worth the years of hard work, fun and memories — which are not over just yet!”
