After a two-week trial in Supreme Court, Westchester County, a jury found in favor of Kela Tennis, Inc., holding the City of Mount Vernon liable for its breach of a 2015 License Agreement and the City’s destruction of the tennis bubble leased by Kela Tennis, which covered the tennis courts at Memorial Field.
The damages portion of the trial is scheduled to commence on April 10, 2023. The forensic economist for Kela Tennis, Inc. estimates its damages to be $9.2 Million.
