Nicholas Ward-Willis to Present at 2023 NYSBA Annual Meeting

On Monday, January 23, 2023, Nicholas M. Ward-Willis will present at the New York State Bar Association’s 2023 Annual Meeting, Local and State Government Law Section “Representing Government Clients: What Lawyers Need to Do When Being Engaged by Municipal Clients“. This portion of the program will discuss providing legal advice to a municipality and will the various ways local governments may retain a municipal attorney, the issue of who the attorney’s client is, and when local officials and employees have a right to an attorney or to contact the municipal attorney.

Mr. Ward-Willis represents businesses, developers, individuals, property managers and public bodies in a variety of land use, real estate and environmental issues, ranging from commercial and real estate transactions to state and federal environmental litigation and has extensive experience in negotiating orders on consent with state and federal agencies in a variety of matters, including hazardous waste sites and oil spill sites.
