On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, Keane & Beane, P.C. will present its 2021 Spring Webinar Series, Part I: “Open Meetings Law: Practice Tips and Case Law Update for Holding Meetings During a Pandemic and Getting Ready for In Person Meetings”. Attorneys Ralph C. DeMarco and Susan E. Fine will provide an overview on compliance with the Open Meetings Law (OML) and comment on common missteps.

In addition to a discussion of recent case law, including cases where actions taken in violation of the OML have been voided and attorney fees awarded, the following topics will include:

  • Current status of applicable Executive Orders
  • OML requirements for meetings of public bodies
  • Conducting executive sessions
  • Public comments
