


Susan Hofstetter’s practice focuses on education law with particular expertise in special education. Her experience includes educating district and school based staff on complex legal concepts, researching and analyzing proposed and new legislation affecting the education field, reviewing policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local authorities and acting as a resource for staff on a variety of legal issues including First Amendment concerns, public records, subpoenas and court orders, and demand letters involving potential litigation. She also has experience with due process litigation under the Individuals with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
She joined Keane & Beane in 2026.
Ms. Hofstetter is a regular volunteer at the Jay Heritage Center in Rye, New York, and is a supporter of Meals on Main in Port Chester, New York.
