On February 11, 2025, Susan Fine will present “English Language Learners and Special Education: Ensuring Legal Best Practices” at the National Business Institute (NBI) CLE Seminar, Special Education Law: The Ultimate Guide. The CLE seminar is an on-line course and Registration is required.
Susan Fine represents public school districts as General Counsel and Special Education Counsel in Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, and Orange Counties, New York. Ms. Fine handles school litigation matters in state and federal courts, appeals to the Commissioner of Education, impartial special education hearings under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and New York Education Law, student disciplinary proceedings, and discrimination and/or retaliation claims before the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.
