Keane & Beane Files Amicus Brief in the US Court of Appeals, Second Circuit

Keane & Beane, P.C. has filed an amicus brief in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in the long-running litigation over Westchester County’s compliance with its affordable housing obligations under the terms of its 2009 settlement agreement with HUD. Writing on behalf of the Town of New Castle, and in support of the County’s appeal, the amicus brief argues that Town officials have the right, and the obligation, to speak freely on behalf of residents on matters of housing policies and public safety. Edward J. Phillips prepared and filed the brief on behalf of the Town. To read more, follow this link:
