Firm News

On December 1, 2011, Stephanie M. Roebuck participated in a Moot Court Debate against Marc Stern, Esq., Counsel for Legal Advocacy of the American Jewish Committee, on the topic of “Off-Campus Student Speech – Free or Not.” The Moot Court Debate was part of the program at the AJC Westchester’s Inaugural Judge Learned Hand Award Dinner, which honored The Honorable Sondra Miller and Lawrence Otis Graham, Esq. Judge Miller and Mr. Graham acted as the presiding judges for the Debate, which was a lively exchange on whether Constitutional Free Speech protections extend to students for their off-campus communications, including communications that may be made electronically.
