Keane & Beane proudly sponsored the Lower Hudson Council of School Superintendents’ (“LHCSS”) Annual Dinner on May 21, 2025 in Mahopac, New York. The Annual Dinner is attended by almost all of the school districts across the Hudson Valley.
LHCSS is a non-profit educational corporation representing a group of 75 school districts and 4 BOCES, spanning a four county region, north of New York City – Dutchess, Putnam, Rockland, Westchester, and parts of Orange County. It’s mission is to promote, foster and advance high quality educational practices, strong leadership and professional collaboration in the public schools of Dutchess, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester Counties.
As educational leaders, school superintendents have a priority goal of improving educational opportunities for students and adults in the four-county region. The specific purposes of the Lower Hudson Council include:
- Sharing information about current and future educational practices and issues;
- Coordinating efforts seeking legislation for the benefit of children in the region;
- Encouraging educational research;
- Exerting a positive influence on state and national school administrator organizations;
- Improving relationships among LHCSS members and their school organizations; and
- Promoting cooperative relations with other governmental agencies, Boards of Education, etc.
