On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Sharon N. Berlin will host the Nassau County Bar Association Education Law Committee meeting. This CLE meeting is a New York State School Law Statutory overview. Topics will include, but are not limited to, FOIL updates, employment laws, election related laws, student and instruction related laws, finances, current and pending laws and updates. Members may attend in person or virtually.
Ms. Berlin serves as general counsel to school districts, private schools, and other educational entities. She represents management in private and public sector labor and employment law matters, including investigations, disciplinary proceedings, arbitrations, collective bargaining, proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New York State Division of Human Rights, and in litigation in the federal and state courts
