Stephanie M. Roebuck will present at the Westchester Putnam School Boards Association‘s (WPSBA) virtual program Ed Law Essentials. The program will consist of two, two and half hour parts on May 1 and May 3, 2024. Registration through individual districts is required.
The WPSBA provides leadership and support for its member districts by promoting effective school district and board governance through training and education, facilitating communication and sharing information, serving as a resource on public education policy issues, advocating for legislation to support public education and foster relationships with organizations that share common interests and goals.
Stephanie Roebuck represents numerous public school districts as General Counsel, Labor Counsel and Special Education Counsel in Westchester and Rockland Counties, NY. She regularly handles school litigation matters in both state and federal courts, appeals to the Commissioner of Education, impartial special education hearings under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Education Law, employee disciplinary proceedings pursuant to the Education Law and Civil Service Law and discrimination and/or retaliation claims before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and State Division of Human Rights.
