Nicholas M. Ward-Willis has been appointed to the Transportation/Land Use/Livable Communities Working Group of the Regional Sustainability Plan of the Mid-Hudson Regional Consortium. The Mid-Hudson Region Consortium launched the regional sustainability planning process as part of phase one of the Cleaner, Greener Communities program announced by Governor Cuomo in 2011. This Sustainable Development Study is intended to result in the development of a comprehensive sustainability plan for the Mid-Hudson Region that is closely tied to greenhouse gas emission reduction goals (defined by New York State), as well as the economic development goals defined by the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council (REDC). Mr. Ward-Willis chairs the Green Real Estate Committee of the NYSBA Real Estate section and represents municipal land use boards and developer clients navigating the SEQRA and land use approval process.
