Westchester Municipal Planning Federation Commends Keane & Beane, P.C.’s Client, Village of Rye Brook, For Its Adoption Of Affordable Housing Legislation

Keane & Beane, P.C.’s long-standing client, the Village of Rye Brook, was recently recognized by the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation for the development and adoption of a Fair and Affordable Housing floating zoning district. The new zoning district was adopted in response to the 2009 settlement entered into by Westchester County which requires the County to provide 750 units of fair and affordable housing in eligible municipalities throughout the County. The new zoning district encourages the development of fair and affordable housing in the Village through streamlined review procedures. Jennifer Gray was a member of the task force that drafted the local law.
