In March, 2013, Keane & Beane, P.C. was successful in obtaining approvals for two significant land-use projects in the Mid-Hudson Valley,. In Dutchess County, on behalf of Toll Brothers, approvals were obtained for construction of 225 dwellings (132 detached and 93 attached) on 150 acres in the Town of Wappinger. The project required both legislative and administrative action; zoning amendments, site plan and subdivision approvals from the Town of Wappinger were required and obtained. Richard L. O’Rourke served as lead counsel with the assistance of Jennifer Gray, who prepared the petition to amend the Town of Wappinger Zoning Code. In Putnam County, special use permit and site plan approvals were obtained for the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement to construct a new 29,270 square foot Friary (Residence) for the Friars at Graymoor, located in Garrison, New York. Richard L. O’Rourke served as counsel to the project.
