Eric Gordon represents and advises private clients and municipal entities and legislative and administrative boards throughout the greater Hudson Valley on a wide variety of land use, zoning, municipal, and labor and employment matters. He has prepared, reviewed and presented site plan, special use permit, variance and other real estate development related applications both to, and on behalf of, municipal boards throughout the Hudson Valley. He also advises private and municipal clients with respect to land use, zoning, municipal, employment and general legal matters. Mr. Gordon has prosecuted, opposed and argued Article 78 proceedings in New York State and federal trial and appellate courts and represents private businesses, developers, individuals, property managers and public entities before administrative agencies and boards and in both state and federal courts, both defending and prosecuting litigations. He also has drafted, reviewed and processed utility rate applications before the New York State Public Service Commission and local regulatory entities with respect to sewer and water utility rates and litigated cases in federal and state court relating to utility rate making.
Mr. Gordon has successfully defended corporations and municipalities in discrimination and retaliation claims brought under Federal Civil Rights statutes (e.g., 42 U.S.C. 1983, Title VII and Title IX) and represented both municipalities and private clients seeking to enforce rights under the New York State Eminent Domain Procedure Law.
Mr. Gordon joined Keane & Beane, P.C. in 1999 after previously practicing law in San Diego, California. After graduating from Fordham University of Law, Mr. Gordon was a law clerk for two years in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California for the Honorable Barry Ted Moskowitz, United States District Judge.
Mr. Gordon has lectured at Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and participates in various continuing legal education programs, relating to municipal, land use and zoning and labor and employment law.

Mr. Gordon is the President of the Board of Directors of the Hudson Valley Justice Center and acts as Keane & Beane, P.C.’s pro bono coordinator. He is a District Leader of the North Castle Democratic Committee.
