Professional Experience

Bryan Georgiady is an experienced school and municipal attorney who provides general counsel, labor counsel and litigation services to numerous public school districts and municipalities in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. He regularly provides advice to school district administrators on all facets of school operations, including school board governance issues, personnel management and employee discipline, business and financial operations, employee benefits, collective bargaining, purchasing and contracting, policy development, transportation, residency, student discipline, and constitutional rights issues. He has served as chief negotiator for school districts in contract negotiations with employee labor unions. Mr. Georgiady has also litigated on behalf of school districts and municipal governments in state and federal courts throughout New York, in administrative agencies including the State Education Department, the State Division of Human Rights, the Public Employment Relations Board and numerous private arbitration proceedings. He also has argued appeals before New York State Appellate Divisions and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, has successfully petitioned the New York State Court of Appeals to accept matters for review.

Before joining Keane & Beane, Mr. Georgiady worked as trial counsel, general counsel, and labor counsel in law firms specializing in school and municipal representation, and also served in-house for the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES in Auburn, New York.
