Lance H. Klein joined Keane & Beane, P.C. in 1993. His practice includes labor and employment litigation and counseling, as well as commercial litigation.
Mr. Klein has extensive experience in federal court defending corporations, municipalities and non-profit organizations in discrimination and retaliation claims brought under Federal Civil Rights statutes such as 42 U.S.C. § 1983, Title VII and Title IX. Mr. Klein also serves as labor counsel to various corporations and municipalities, attending to matters including collective bargaining with unions, employe discipline and grievnces. In addition, he represents corporaitons and municipalities in arbitration proceedings. Mr. Klein also defends clients before the New York State Department of Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Westchester Human Rights Commission and the Public Employment Relations Board.
Before joining Keane & Beane, P.C. in 1993, Mr. Klein was in-house counsel for a large real estate developer, where his practice concentrated on negotiating and drafting commercial leases.
Mr. Klein is admitted to practice before federal and state courts in New York and New Jersey.
