Mr. Gordon represents businesses, developers, individuals, property managers and public bodies in regard to numerous matters in state and federal court, both defending and prosecuting litigations. Mr. Gordon has extensive experience and has successfully defended corporations and municipalities in discrimination and retaliation claims brought under Federal Civil Rights statutes such as 42 U.S.C. 1983, Title VII and Title IX. He also has represented both municipalities and private clients seeking to enforce rights under the New York State Eminent Domain Procedure Law.
A significant portion of Mr. Gordon's practice currently is devoted to representing clients at proceedings before municipal boards throughout the State of New York in land use and zoning disputes. Mr. Gordon has prepared and presented applications to municipal boards throughout Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Dutchess Counties in relation to land use and real estate development projects. Mr. Gordon has also prosecuted and opposed Article 78 proceedings in New York State trial and appellate courts.
Mr. Gordon graduated with honors from Fordham Law School where he was selected to the Order of the Coif and was a member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal. Following his graduation from Fordham Law School, Mr. Gordon was a law clerk to the Honorable Barry Ted Moskowitz, United States District Judge for the Southern District of California.
Mr. Gordon is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and California.
